Contains the cashier, loan, deposit, and general operations records of Riggs & Co. from its creation in 1854 until it was incorporated as Riggs National Bank in 1896. Please note that some ledgers date from 1852 and 1853, but the vast majority of transactions and information placed within these books occurred during the Riggs & Co. period rather than Corcoran and Riggs.
