Scope and Contents note

From the Series:

This series consists of audiotape cassettes, recorded predominately between 1976 and the 1990s; there are also several undated cassettes. The series is arranged chronologically into six broad categories. The first and largest category "The Poet and the Poem," is comprised of broadcasts of "The Poet and the Poem" radio program. The second category, "WPFW Poets," consists of eight cassettes that list only poets' names and the name of the radio station; these are possibly affiliated with "The Poet and the Poem." The third category contains cassettes featuring Cavalieri's award-winning WPFW program, "One Long Ribbon of Song." The fourth category, "Vivian Adelberg Rudow," consists of cassettes featuring original music by Rudow and collaborative work between Rudow and Cavalieri from 1984 to 1997. The fifth category, "Miscellaneous Recordings," includes various recordings by poets, cassettes of the program "Poets in Person," "Black Box" recordings, single programs, and those programs only identified by poets' names. The sixth category "Gargoyle Recordings," consists of cassette tapes that represent Gargoyle Magazine issues.
