Scope and Contents

This collection is comprised of non-IBT union newspapers, bulletins and journals dating from 1922-2010. Included are newspapers from a number of AFL-CIO affiliated unions, as well as the United Mine Workers of America, UAW, the Graphic Arts International Union, the American Federation of Teachers, and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, whose publication "The Carpenter" spans the years of 1922 and 1950. Also included is a long run of Convoy Dispatch, published by Teamsters for a Democratic Union. Topics of the newspapers include union news and events, national politics, local news, and general labor news.
