Scope and Contents
This collection contains papers related to the activities of Washington D.C. area poet Clifford Bernier. The bulk of the collection consists of newspaper announcements for events that Mr. Bernier was involved with, including readings and Jazz poetry performances. Also included in the collections are three newspaper articles about poetry events that Bernier participated in. The collection includes two compact discs of “Jazz Poetry” and a compact disc of Mr. Bernier’s “Poetry in Black & White” collaboration with Verneice Turner.

Biographical / Historical
Clifford Bernier is a Washington D.C. area poet. His work has appeared in Potomac Review, the Baltimore Review, the Alexandria and Mt. Vernon Gazettes, and notjustair.com. He is also a performer of "Jazz Poetry" which combines Jazz music with poetry recitation. He has performed and given readings in Philadelphia, Buffalo, and around the Washington D.C. area. He hosts the poetry series Poesis in Arlington, Virginia. He lives with his wife and three children in Arlington, Virginia.
