Charles Suddarth Kelly photographic collection on the history of Washington, D.C.

Abstract Collection includes photographs and negatives, slides, postcards, stereoscopes, and some manuscript material and ranges in date from 1856-1983. The bulk of the material ranges from 1890-1920 (which consists mainly of copy prints of photographs). The images in the collection cover primarily the northwest section of Washington, D.C. including many buildings and street scenes.

Materials in this collection include articles, building surveys, newspapers, books, photographs, slides, and artifacts. They range in date from 1907-98.

Abstract The collection include manuscript drafts and proofs, research notes, clippings, photographs, prints, correspondence, awards, lecture notes, personal papers, professional papers, and reports. They range in date from circa 1860 to 2017, but the bulk of the material dates from 1950 to 2011. The material relates to James Goode's graduate studies, his 2009 book on Washington sculptures, his collection of American self-portraits, his personal and professional life, and other research interests.

Abstract The Peter Smeallie and Peter Smith Collection consists of 167 photographs and graphics that were reproduced in the book New Construction for Older Buildings: A Design Sourcebook for Archivists and Preservationists (New York: John Wiley & Sons, 1990), which they co-authored. The collection also contains .25 linear feet of correspondence and releases.
