Persia, circa 1920
This album contains photographs taken by Edward Austin Waters duirng his two year honeymoon with Margaret White Waters. Movies of their trip were bequeathed to the Fogg Museum. Ned Waters was a Captain in the U.S. Army who during World War I worked as a liaison offiver to the Royal Flying Corps. in 1929 both Mr. and Mrs. Waters were Field Representatives in Central Asia for the Penn Museum.

The material dates from 1943-2011. The material in the collection covers the history of the Potomac Area Council of American Youth Hostels, especially the activities of its former Executive Director and board president, Don Messersmith.

Women's Progress Club of Washington prayer books
Collection include two prayer books of the "Women's Progress Club of Washington, D.C." The club was founded in 1937 and Sylvia Fisher (1910-1981), was president from 1956-57. The club was dedicated to raising funds for cancer research.
