Ann Brewer Knox was a Washington D.C. area writer and teacher of poetry and short fiction. Her writings were widely published in journals and books. This collection contains drafts of poetry and short stories, book manuscripts, publications, personal journals, correspondence, publication, teaching and other professional materials, clippings, and floppy disks documenting her personal and professional writing career. The bulk of the material dates from 1977 to 2011.
Elisavietta (Lisa) Ritchie's fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, photographs, and translations from Russian and French have appeared in numerous publications. This collection includes various drafts and publications of poems and stories written by Ritchie. It also contains correspondence to and from Ritchie, including letters from her parents and correspondence written in Russian. The collection dates from 1964-2014.
Hugh Wallace “Wally” Walthall (1948 - 2015) was a local D.C. poet, actor, playwright, and publisher. The collection contains typed and handwritten poems, published works of poetry in monographs, anthologies, and serials. Some of the publications are journals that include poems by Mr. Walthall. These materials date from the 1960s through the 2000s.

The Capitol Hill Poetry Group is a critique group that was co-founded by Nordhaus along with Shirley Cochrane in Washington, DC in 1975. The collection covers the period of 1975-2013, and includes personal, administrative, event-related, and creative documents.
